About YOGA RETREATS

An ancient practice of the Indian culture, yoga represents the universal need to evolve and transcend all limitations and is an experience that only brings us closer to ourselves. When practiced regularly, yoga is beneficial for physical health, emotional well being, mental clarity and spiritual connection with self and the world around us.

Jiva Spa offers yoga under the guidance of the Bihar School of Yoga, a holistic form of Yoga achieved through an amalgamation of asanas that enhance physical, psychological and spiritual wellness.

Sessions at the Jiva Spa Yoga Retreat includes body postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga theory, the relaxation technique of Yoga Nidra™, evening meditation and chanting sessions as well as cleansing techniques (shatkarma) of neti (nasal cleansing), kunjal (stomach wash) and lagoo shankhaprakshalana (a cleansing practice).

There are different levels to the assistance we provide during the sessions - from beginners to guests with prior knowledge of yoga.
